Emily Chuba is an Associate Director of Research and Operations in the School of Medicine and Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. She has over 15 years of experience working with government agencies, universities, and non-profit organizations in the areas of public health programming and research. With a background deeply rooted in global engagement and community development, Emily brings a unique perspective to her role.

During her tenure as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ethiopia from 2012-2014, she had the privilege of engaging in transformative initiatives aimed at enhancing community capacity building in crucial domains such as health, education, and gender development. This experience not only profoundly shaped her commitment to community service and making a positive difference but also honed her ability to navigate diverse environments and foster meaningful collaborations.

Emily is an avid traveler and has been fortunate to have worked in Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, and India. Not one to ever shy away from an adventure, she has white water rafted the Nile River and fed hyenas in the streets of Harar, Ethiopia. In her free time, she enjoys reading (fiction), listening to podcasts, and spending quality time with her Boston Terrier, Mushu.

Emily graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a dual degree in Anthropology and Global Gender Studies. She completed her Master of Business Administration from Emory University in 2022.
